CHILDREN & YOUTH

Tri-County Parish is commited to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to all generations. Through Sunday School, 5-Alive Senior High, Milestones, and family friendly worship, we aim to share our faith from generation to generation.

Sunday School

From our elementary age youth we have three dynamic Sunday School Programs and a Milestone Ministry. St. Mark's in Oshkosh meets the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 10:10 AM each month. Berea in Rural Chappell meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM. Gloria Dei in Lodgepole meets every Sunday at 9:15 AM. St. Mark's and Berea follow a lectionary posed lesson from Augsburg Fortress called "Spark" and Gloria Dei utilizes a theme-based lesson from Augsburg Fortress called "Akaloo". During the year, the youth engage in mission projects and age-erlated Milestones.

Milestones Ministry

Our Milestones Ministry encompasses the milestones the youth encounter as they grow in our faith community; prayer, baptism, communion, qorship, the Bible, the Apostle's Creed, and the Lord's Prayer. These milestones are set to help parents connect with their children through their Faith.

Confirmation Program

As our youth grow in life and faith they transition into our Confirmation Program that meets the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at Berea. During these three years, they are given an opportunity to explore a deeper understanding of being Lutheran, what the Bible means, how we share our faith, and what it is to be a part of a faith community. Those youth attend summer camp, misison trips, and social events together throughout the year.

5-Alive Senior High

Our Senior High youth meet weekly in Chappell on Wednesdays, and in Oshkosh on Thuesdays for a home-cooked meal, fellowship and Bible Study (Candle Time). This weekly time together is referred to as 5-Alive. The youth learn how to express their faith both verbally and outwordly through summer camp, mission events, and social gatherings. Our weekly 5-Alive time is a safe place for youth to gather and relax from the hussle of daily life, as well as a place serves to recharge for the week to come. All Senior High youth are welcomed and encouraged to come no matter where they are on life's faith journey.
